Visual Arts Education at Orivesi College of Arts
There are three one-school year / nine-month programmes and special courses in the summertime. The students can choose their programme according to their own needs and artistic ambitions. Even if the student chooses one programme, they can choose courses from other programmes.
Art Studio
For beginners and for those who plan to apply to various art schools. The nine-month programme includes special courses from all fields of visual arts, drawing, painting, graphic arts, sculpture, photography, and video art.
Open Studio
For those who have found their own way to do visual arts and prefer working at their own pace. The college provides the facilities and the guidance of professional artists.
Comics Studio
For those who want to spend a whole school year creating comics. The teachers are artists well-known both in Finland and abroad. The students are encouraged to arrange their own exhibitions, and publish their art in the zines and blogs provided by the college.

“Body Awareness And Creativity” – International Summer Course
Residence
The Department of Visual Arts at Orivesi College of Arts offers residence for international artists. All disciplines of arts are considered. The stay can last from one week to three months. The college provides the meals and accomodation.
